Uploading Re-Enabled

As most of you know, uploading was has been disabled for the last 24hours.

We wanted to take the time sooner than later, to make important architectural changes to accommodate the high volume of traffic.

Some of you have experienced issues in the past with uploading images and videos, however based on extensive testing we believe most or all of these should be gone now.

Finally, we haven't re-enabled raw image uploading just yet, due to the fact that few people use that function, we expect to enable it tomorrow.

Oosah!

Some Oosah Tips and Tricks

Did you know...

x) ...you can upload content straight to any remote website, by switching to the site and pressing the upload button.

x) ...you can drag-and-drop content from any site to any site and the actual binary files will be transferred automatically..

x) ...you can rename content on remote sites the same way you do on Oosah by clicking rename. You can remove content from remote sites too, either by selecting multiple files or by selecting an individual file.

x) ...you can print the original content from your remote websites by opening a photo's file menu and hitting print, or viewing an enlarged version of the photo and pressing print.

x) ...you can download your videos from YouTube, or your images from other websites just by clicking the download icon from the file's menu.

x) ...you can listen to your podcasts in m3u or pls format in vlc media player, windows media player, or winamp as live streams

Flickr Back Up, but works too slowly

We've gotten our link to Flickr back up, however their default API is inadequate for the type of integration Oosah is trying to do, so bear with us while we do things to make access to Flickr faster!

Thanks

By Popular Demand...

By popular demand, we've increased our per mp3 file size to 50MB!

Oosah T&C's & Privacy Policy

Thanks for the great discussion around Oosah, we are happy to hear that you guys are enjoying the service! As noted in our response to your inquiries around the T&Cs, they are similar to many of the popular sites that millions of people use every day. All major content hosting sites have a provision similar to our item 9.c.

In fact, many other services have provisions that appear to be even stronger than Oosah's. The purpose of the license provision is not so that we can take ownership of users' content, but rather use content that is marked “public” for promotional materials. You have the option to click private on your media, and Oosah will not use that content.

Oosah respects the rights of its members, and is not seeking to exploit their relationship with Oosah, and we hope that you continue to enjoy the service and the 1TB of free space! We have some additional cool features in the pipeline that I can’t wait for you guys to check out. Feel free to chat via Twitter – Twitter name: Oosah.
